Every food item comes with a use-by date. Once you’ve heated your food, any leftovers can be refrigerated for 24 hours and enjoyed cold.

If you’re not planning to heat everything when it arrives, you can freeze it before heating. Just make sure you defrost it thoroughly, then follow your heating instructions.

Yes – heat it in the oven, on the hob or in the microwave. We’ve already smoked everything low ’n’ slow in our Ole Hickory smokers and then chilled it, so just follow the heating instructions in your BBQ box.

Your order comes with simple step-by-step oven heating instructions. Most items, including the Family Platter, take only 20 minutes. The ½ chicken takes 30 minutes.

Once it’s in the oven you can kick back, relax and get ready for your BBQ.

We wouldn’t advise reheating food you’ve already heated. You can enjoy any leftovers cold within 24 hours of heating – just keep them in the fridge.

Yes. None of our food has been frozen, so you can freeze it when it arrives. When you’re ready to enjoy it, defrost everything thoroughly and then follow our heating instructions.

Yes, nearly everything on the menu is free from gluten-containing ingredients. The only exceptions are:

• Smoked Sausage
• Classic Mac ’n’ Cheese
• Mac ’n’ Cheese side dish

They’re easy and fun to make! Just follow the how-to videos our bartenders have put together. There are some pro tips in there too, to impress your friends.

Each bottled cocktail is 500ml, which gives you 4 servings of 125ml. There are simple instructions and serving suggestions on the bottles, and you can follow our how-to videos.

Unopened bottles keep for 6 months. Once opened, keep them refrigerated and enjoy within 1 week.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Maestro. You can also pay via PayPal.

Yes. Complete the payment details as normal and enter their address as the delivery address.

Alternatively, buy them a Gift Card so they can choose their favourites. Gift Cards can also be used in any of our Hickory’s restaurants.

Yes – Hickory’s gift cards can be used to pay at Hickory’s At Home.

We ship orders daily with DPD for next-day delivery, and deliver 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday. You choose your preferred delivery date.

Orders placed by 2pm are shipped for delivery the following day, or for your selected future date. DPD will let you know when your order has been picked up and update you at each step.

We deliver Wednesday to Sunday. Simply select the date you’d like to receive your BBQ box. For next-day delivery, place your order by 2pm the day before.

We ship to all UK postcodes with DPD. Some areas, such as the Scottish Highlands and some islands, need longer shipping times. Because our food is fresh, not frozen, we can’t meet your selected delivery date if your postcode is in one of these areas:

• Scottish Highlands: AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-40, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50
• Scottish Islands: HS1-9, IV41-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49

We aim for your order to reach you within 24 hours of DPD collecting it from us, though we can’t accept responsibility if it takes longer.

You’re responsible for being available when the parcel arrives. In most cases, if you’re out, DPD will leave it in a safe place. We recommend downloading the DPD app, where you can add delivery instructions to your profile and leave a photo of exactly where you’d like your box left.

Hickory’s accepts no liability for parcels left in a safe place or returned to the depot. In either case, please seek compensation directly from DPD if you’re unhappy with the delivery.

Deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm. On the day, DPD will send you a one-hour delivery window, usually by 11am.

You don’t need to be in – everything is packed to stay fresh. The DPD app lets you add instructions and a photo of where you’d like your box left.

Yes. DPD will notify you when your box is collected from us, and on the morning of delivery they’ll send a one-hour delivery window, usually by 11am. You can track it in the DPD app.

Delivery is £5 on orders under £80, and free on orders over £80.

We work closely with DPD to make sure every box arrives on time. If yours hasn’t arrived at your chosen address on the specified day, please contact DPD with your tracking information.

Yes. Our boxes are 100% recyclable cardboard, and any plastic inside (such as sauce pots) can go in the recycling bin.

The insulation is upcycled from off-cuts of waste denim and can be reused, as can our gel packs – freeze them and take them on your next picnic.
